Hello you.

MFPC brings people at McMaster together to discuss, make, organize and support film.

Film, radio and shared work

Membership is open to anyone at McMaster. No experience is required, and participation is optional.

What we do

Films

MFPC brings cast and crew together for club productions. Watch for announcements from the Production Director about acting, screenwriting, camera work, sound, music, editing and production organization. Reply to advertised roles with your interests, experience and availability.

Radio

Members can express interest in joining an episode of Ticket Stub Talks to discuss a film or filmmaking topic with the hosts. Guest spots depend on scheduling, topic fit and the programme’s plans, so we may be unable to accommodate every request. The radio team will confirm the recording details if a suitable opportunity becomes available. Send the radio team your topic idea and availability through @mcmasterfilm on Instagram.

Individual mentorship

Members can request a meeting to discuss a script, seek feedback or work through a filmmaking question. Send a short description and relevant material beforehand. Meetings depend on the adviser’s availability and experience. Members remain responsible for arranging the people, funding and equipment for their own projects. To express interest, reply to an MFPC announcement.

MFPC in 2026/27

MFPC is continuing independently and is not ratified with the McMaster Students Union (MSU) for the 2026/27 academic year.

Bring a campus project

MFPC connects students interested in film, photography and editing with projects across campus. Members can meet collaborators, gain practical experience and build a portfolio through projects with other clubs and student groups. If you’re involved in a project that could interest MFPC members, you’re welcome to bring it to the club.
